Welcome to the online collaborative portion of the Environmental Science class at Parish Episcopal School in Dallas, Texas.
Since one of the primarily focuses for our class is the discussion of our material and how it relates to the world around us, I wanted to have a space that allows just that. Consistent with that concept, I wish to ensure, from the beginning, that each and every student in this class feels comfortable enough to express their thoughts and their position on the topics that we discuss in class.
In my years, I have seen many students who have great depth of understanding when it comes to everything that is covered in class, yet may feel paralyzed when it comes to having to speak their thoughts aloud in front of the class. My hope is that this space can help to overcome that fear and provide a location where ALL can contribute without any fear of judgment or derision. Remember the general rules of life – be polite to each other and do not make comments that are deliberately inflammatory.
